Analyzing SEER-Medicare Data for Colorectal Cancer Diagnosis stage and 5-year survival for people with IDD

About

Little is currently known about cancer treatment and survivorship in the U.S. among people with IDD. Using SEER-Medicare linked data, we aim to determine if there are differences in early stage diagnosis and 5 year survival rates between individuals with and without IDD diagnosed with colorectal cancer. The SEER (Surveillance, Epidemiology and End Results) dataset collects cancer data from select U.S. states, and it is matched with Medicare administrative data.
