Sleep disturbances are extremely prevalent in developmental disorders and are likely an important determinant of developmental delay. This presentation provided a thorough understanding of sleep roles in healthy cognitive development, knowledge of how sleep disorders are identified and treated, and an understanding of new research directions that may advance our ability to provide the best sleep health for those with Down syndrome.
