Paulette Nevarez (she/her/ella) is a proud Latina raised in San Luis, Arizona. She worked in Public Health for the past two years providing resources to migrants and working to improve border health through a non-profit organization. Paulette is now working on her Master in Public Health (MPH) with a Global Health concentration at the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health. Paulette wants to keep working in border communities to improve rural health along with other organizations. She joined UCEDD as an opportunity to gain further knowledge on how to best support individuals with disabilities appropriately and adequately incorporating a public health lens. Paulette has served as a Diversity Fellow with UCEDD for a year and has now transitioned into being a part of UCEDD's VIP project.
