Interdisciplinary Approach to Disability in Professional Practice Intern
Hello! My name is Beatrice Blandon Orozco, a first generation, Latina, Undergraduate Student majoring in Molecular & Cellular Biology, and minoring in Special Education & Rehabilitation and Emergency Medical Services. My career goal is to one day become an Emergency Physician. I am truly motivated to be part of the Sonoran Center and contribute to improving the lives of people with disabilities, creating a more safer and supportive environment. My passion for this work is deeply personal; my younger brother, who has Autism, has been one of my greatest motivations. Through him, I've learned the importance of patience, advocacy, and compassion. I'm very interested in learning more about the advancements and resources being implemented in this field, gaining diverse perspectives, and applying the knowledge and skills I already possess to improve individual' outcomes and make a meaningful contribution.
