IHD Evidence for Success Disability Conference

Continuing the format initiated last year, the 2018 EVIDENCE FOR SUCCESS CONFERENCE will integrate three of Northern Arizona University’s Institute for Human Development (IHD) project areas into one mega educational event with over 65 sessions:

Learn how to access post-secondary and employment resources in your community. Learn how the vocational rehabilitation process works. Hear stories about people with a range of disabilities who have become successfully employed. Young people with disabilities, age 14 – 26, parents, and professionals are welcome to attend!

3rd Annual Transition Institute for Parents, Youth and Young Adults

This Institute will give you an overview of what you can plan for and ideas of what you can do now that will contribute to a successful transition.

  • Learn why supporting transition of youth from school to life as a young adult is so critical.
  • Become inspired when you hear from youth with disabilities who are moving along successfully through transition.
  • Learn about laws and services that exist to encourage and support employment for youth with disabilities.
  • Have opportunities to have personal discussions with Arizona experts from Vocational Rehabilitation, AZ Employment First, AZ Youth Leadership Forum, DDD, Behavioral Health, Children with Special Health Care Needs (OCSHCN) and College.
