National News
Winter 2017-2018

The national developmental disabilities network – National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities (NACDD), the Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD) and the National Disability Rights Network (NDRN) – is proud to present Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month 2018 (DDAM)!  The goal for the month is to raise awareness about developmental disabilities, tell stories of people who live with a disability, and show their lives while highlighting inclusion, contributions and togetherness.

The DDAM website provides resources to help plan activities for the month, as well as for you to share across social media, including images like the one below.

Check out the resource guide on the website for resources to share related to the weekly themes. The guide will be continuously updated as new resources are received.

Week 1 (March 5th): See Me as Your Classmate – Education

Week 2 (March 12th): See Me as Your Coworker– Employment

Week 3 (March 19th): See Me as Your Neighbor– Community Living

Week 4 (March 26th): See Me as Your Friend– Miscellaneous
